Welcome!
My name is Melissa, and I am proud to be the owner of The Seed Daycare Center.
As a Yorktown resident, I am honored to continue the tradition of The Seed while building upon the strong foundation that families have trusted for decades. My promise is simple: to provide every child with a safe, loving place where they can learn, grow, and blossom.
As a mother of two wonderful children, ages 10 and 8, I understand firsthand the importance of finding a childcare program that feels like an extension of your family. Choosing who will care for your child is one of the most important decisions you'll ever make, and I am committed to creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, encouraged, and excited to come each day.
My family and I have proudly called Yorktown home for the past 13 years. Being part of this community has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of building lasting relationships with local families and creating a place where every child and parent feels welcomed and valued.
I earned my Master's degree in Childhood Education because I have always been passionate about helping children learn and grow. I truly believe the early years lay the foundation for a lifetime of confidence, curiosity, and success. Every child deserves opportunities to explore, discover, and develop in an environment that encourages creativity, kindness, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
As the owner, my vision is to honor everything families have loved about The Seed while continually enhancing the experience for the children and families we serve. Together with our dedicated team of educators, we are committed to providing exceptional care, meaningful learning experiences, open communication, and the highest standards of safety.

Welcome!
My name is Mike, and I am proud to be a co-owner of The Seed Daycare Center.
As the father of three energetic boys—a 12-year-old and 10-year-old twins—I understand how important it is for children to be in an environment where they feel safe, supported, and excited to learn each day. As a parent, I know that trust and communication are just as important as education, and I believe families should feel confident that their children are being cared for by people who truly have their best interests at heart.
My family and I are proud to call Yorktown home, and we are grateful to be part of a community that values family, education, and strong local connections. Being involved in our community has reinforced my belief that lasting relationships with children, families, and staff are the foundation of a successful childcare program.
Throughout my career as a business owner, I have gained experience in leadership, operations, and customer service. I enjoy building strong teams, creating efficient systems, and ensuring that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly so our teachers can focus on what matters most—helping children learn and grow.
Together, Melissa and I share a vision of preserving everything families have come to love about The Seed while continuing to strengthen and grow our program for future generations. We are committed to providing exceptional care, meaningful learning experiences, open communication, and a welcoming environment where every child feels valued and every family feels at home.

Our Directors
Tara Scheibe
Educational Director
Tara is proud to serve as the Educational Director at The Seed Daycare, where she has been a dedicated member of our team for the past 10 years. Beginning her journey as a Lead Teacher, Tara has spent the last decade building meaningful relationships with children, families, and staff while fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment.
As Educational Director, Tara oversees curriculum implementation, supports and mentors our teaching team, and ensures that every classroom provides high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Her passion for early childhood education is evident in everything she does, and she is committed to helping every child develop the confidence, skills, and love of learning they need to succeed.
A lifelong member of the Yorktown community, Tara is proud to call it home. She is happily married and is the proud mother of two wonderful children—a son and a daughter. As both an educator and a parent, Tara understands the importance of finding a childcare program where families feel supported, children feel safe, and learning is filled with joy.
Tara looks forward to partnering with families and helping every child at The Seed grow, learn, and thrive.
Victoria Reiman
Administrative & Admissions Director
Victoria is proud to serve as the Administrative & Admissions Director at The Seed Daycare. She began her career as a Lead Teacher for 10 years before advancing into the role of Assistant Director. Her years of hands-on classroom experience, combined with her leadership and organizational skills, make her an invaluable resource for both families and staff.
As the Administrative & Admissions Director, Victoria oversees the day-to-day administrative operations of the center and guides new families through the enrollment process. From scheduling tours and answering questions to assisting with registration and supporting our teachers, she is committed to making every family's experience at The Seed welcoming, organized, and positive.
A Yorktown resident, Victoria has a genuine passion for working with children and helping them thrive. She is dedicated to creating a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe, families feel connected, and every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
